Privacy Policy

How we handle personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. This is a plain-language summary pending the final document for launch, and is not itself legal advice. See also our Terms of Service.

Who we are

Adviser Toolkit is operated by Brandon Martin (ABN 63 212 123 200), registered business name "financial adviser toolkit" - the entity responsible for personal information handled through the platform. You can reach us via the contact page for any privacy request.

What we collect

Account details (your name, email and firm), the figures and client information you enter into the tools, your branding assets, billing details, and usage data about how the product is used. When you use AI features, the relevant text you submit is processed to generate the result.

How we use it

To provide and support the service, generate your outputs and documents, operate your subscription and seats, keep the product secure, and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Where your data is hosted

Your account and client data are hosted in Australia (Supabase, Sydney region) and protected by encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls so advisers see only their own clients, and optional two-factor authentication.

Overseas processing (APP 8)

Some features rely on third parties that may process data outside Australia. In particular, AI assistance is provided by an overseas AI provider (currently in the United States), so text you submit to AI features may be processed overseas. Payment processing, when enabled, may also occur overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle information appropriately; using these features indicates your consent to that processing.

Third parties we use

Supabase (hosting and authentication, Australia); an AI provider for the AI features (overseas); Annature for e-signature (Australia); and, when billing is enabled, a third-party payment processor. Each handles data only to provide its part of the service.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete data that is no longer required.

Access, correction and complaints

You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have a privacy concern, contact us and we will work to resolve it.
